A Fairfield man charged with possessing child pornography made a brief court appearance Monday for a readiness conference.
Geno L. Hurtado, 31, last month pleaded not guilty to the single count. Hurtado was arrested July 6 at his El Toro Court residence, after the Fairfield Police Department’s Electronic Crimes Unit was made aware he was possibly downloading and sharing the illegal content. The search revealed the defendant’s residence had electronic devices containing several “child explicit picture and video files,” according to police.
Hurtado’s readiness conference will be continued Sept. 15 at 9 a.m. in Dept. 16. He remains in Solano County Jail with a bail amount of $45,000.
