Jordan Wright’s mother has been left so distressed by his death that she has contemplated suicide
A young man has been found guilty of murder after he knifed a teenager to death in south London over a “petty” argument on WhatsApp.
In the days leading up to the death of 19-year-old Jordan Wright, Paul Akinnuoye, 20, had sent him messages implying he was gay in order to provoke him, a jury heard.
They traded insults with the defendant calling Mr Wright a “batty boy” and the victim replying: “On your mum’s life I’m straighter than you.”
The argument led to the pair arranging to meet up and fight in Blackheath on April 19 last year.
