Local charged with possession of child porn


Two Airdrie men have been arrested and charged with allegedly accessing and possessing child pornography, following a three-month investigation called Operation Icebreaker by Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team’s (ALERT) Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) team.
Curtis Brock, 27, and Ryland Jacklin, 28, were two of 16 suspects arrested following Operation Icebreaker, which targeted suspects in Southern Alberta allegedly accessing child pornography.

According to an ALERT news release issued June 6, 25 search warrants were conducted between April 5 and June 1, resulting in the seizure of more than 500 computers and electronic devices that are currently being reviewed by forensic analysts.
“To date, nearly 7,000 photos and videos containing child pornography have been identified with some of the victims as young as infants,” stated the release.
