PE teacher stole, sold Dickinson High School laptops, according to court documents


A middle school physical education teacher accused of stealing and selling a Milltown high school’s laptops resigned after he was arrested, school officials said Wednesday.

A grand jury on Monday indicted 34-year-old Andrew Schuster, of Newark, with theft and selling stolen property.

John Dickinson High School personnel believe Schuster stole $1,500 worth of Chromebooks and Dell laptops that belonged to the high school, according to court documents obtained by The News Journal.

Pati Nash, a spokeswoman for Red Clay Consolidated School District, said Schuster taught physical education to students in the Dickinson Middle Years program within the high school. He had been a school district employee since 2011, Nash said.
