SEATTLE – A 15-year-old boy is hospitalized with life-threatening head injuries after trying to do a flip from the roof of a car in Seattle Wednesday night, according to police.
It happened just aftere 6:00 p.m. on Roosevelt Way Northeast, near Northeast 84th Street in the Maple Leaf neighborhood
Police say a man driving a Hyundai Elantra saw a male running ahead of him on Roosevelt Way.
The driver stopped, and the teen jumped on the hood of his car. The teen climbed to the roof of the car as the driver rolled slowly forward.
Witnesses said the teen tried to do some sort of flip from the roof to the back of the car but landed head first on the street.
The teen was rushed to Harborview Medical Center.
Police say the driver of the Elantra pulled over and stopped.
Police say there is no evidence that he hit the teen with his car and that the driver showed no signs of impairment.
