Regional Police say a teenager is wanted for second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 57-year-old woman in Elmira.

Police received a 911 call from a home in the Falcon Drive area on Christmas Day. When officers arrived, they found a woman deceased inside of the home – who has now been identified as Elizabeth Alder.

Police say the death is considered suspicious, and investigators now have reasonable grounds to arrest a 17-year-old for 2nd-degree murder.

Kurtis Reichert, also known as Kurt, is considered dangerous and anyone that spots him is urged to contact 911 immediately.

The WRPS Major Crime Branch and Forensic Identification Branch continue to investigate, and say there will be an increased police presence in the Falcon Drive area.

Anyone with information on the suspicious death, or Reichert’s whereabouts is urged to contact Regional Police at 519-570-9777 ext. 8666 or Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
