Teen #Charged With #Threatening #Violence At #School

16-year-old Logan James Fischer of Old Mocksville Road in Statesville was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony false report concerning mass violence on educational property.

Last Wednesday (March 28) the School resource Officer was notified by school staff at North Iredell High School in reference to a threat being found written on a bathroom wall in “B” Building. The threat made reference to shooting the school up.

Photographs of the writing were made and as word spread about the incident, information was received by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office about a possible suspect. During the investigation video footage was reviewed and potential witnesses were interviewed. Based on information obtained from the interviews, Logan Fischer became a person of interest.

Detectives went to Fischer’s residence and spoke with him about the matter. After speaking briefly, Fischer was transported to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office by his parents to continue the interview. At the conclusion of this investigation, all the evidence indicates Fisher was the person who wrote the threat on the wall. Fischer indicated during the interview it was a bad joke.

Bond for Fischer was set at $10,000 secured. A District Court date was scheduled today (April 2).
