Vicksburg #vehicle crash #kills #Clinton #teen, injures #Pearl teen


According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, traffic fatalities increased 5.6 percent and the number of pedestrians killed jumped 9 percent to the highest number since 1990.

One teenager was killed and another was injured in a crash in Vicksburg.

The crash happened Tuesday around 11 a.m. on U.S. 61 north and North Washington Street. 19-year-old Landon Overstreet of Clinton was driving a Ford F-150 towing a trailer when it fell into a ravine. Overstreet died at the scene. Christopher Fortenberry of Pearl, also 19 years old, was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
